ABOUT STEVE
Steve Boyer was conceived, hatched and reared on the wild Rogue River in Southern Oregon. His dreams of a career in veterinary medicine led him to Colorado, Tennessee and Northern California where he works closely with professional athletes every day – via thoroughbred racehorses.
Along the way, his family grew with three children Nate, Kendra and Phil and then two grandchildren!
Boyer’s passions include faith, family, equine veterinary medicine, and the many horses and dogs he calls his extended family.
Boyer lives in Pleasanton, California with his wife, partner and friend of over 40 years, Laura McDowell-Boyer.
Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
