Chelsea, a dedicated IT Project Manager and lifelong learner, embodies the values of resilience, determination, and community service. Raised in a small Ohio town, her mother instilled a strong sense of purpose through helping others, investing in her community, and relentlessly pursuing goals through hard work and determination; these principles have guided her journey ever since.
With a strong academic foundation, Chelsea has navigated a dynamic career alongside the love of her life, her husband, Tim, who spent a full career in the U.S. Army. His career landed them on assignments throughout the United States and Germany. Supporting him through seven deployments and multiple moves, she has balanced volunteering, government roles, parenting two children, and pursuing higher education, including a graduate degree, an MBA, and Graduate Certificate at The Citadel.
Now rooted in South Carolina, Chelsea is passionate about sharing knowledge and promoting positive change. She is driven to raise awareness about the critical importance of clean water and its impact on communities. Inspired by Danielle Doby’s quote, “When you create a difference in someone’s life, you not only impact their life, you impact everyone influenced by them throughout their entire lifetime. No act is ever too small. One by one, this is how to make an ocean rise.” Chelsea believes small actions can spark significant differences.
Throughout her journey, Chelsea has developed a unique blend of skills, from project management to community engagement. Her experience in government roles has given her a deep understanding of the importance of effective communication and collaboration. As an IT Project Manager, she leverages her technical expertise to drive innovation and deliver results.
In her free time, Chelsea cherishes family moments, embraces spontaneous adventure, and enjoys exploring the outdoors through running marathons, participating in triathlons, and camping. She believes life is about embracing new experiences and making meaningful connections. Chelsea’s story is one of resilience, determination, and a commitment to creating positive change.
Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
