Ben, a native of Grand Junction, Colorado, played for the Air Force Falcons from 2006-2009, before being signed by the Denver Broncos in 2010. He was placed on the Broncos’ military reserve list to serve his two-year military commitment, which he did at Scott Air Force Base from 2010-12. Ben made his NFL debut with the Broncos in 2014, before signing with the Falcons in 2015. In 2017, Ben played in his first Super Bowl with the Falcons and was also named the Falcons’ Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. In 2018, Ben was awarded the NFL’s Salute to Service Award, honoring his efforts of support to former and present members of the military.

Ben signed with the San Francisco 49ers in 2019. He also still serves with the Colorado Air National Guard as a Public Affairs Officer, currently holding the rank of Captain and fulfilling his military obligations during each NFL offseason.
