    ABOUT SCOTT

Being raised in a military family it was natural for me to join the Army when I was 17 and served for 26 years before I retired as a Master Sergeant. 10 years into my military career I became a member of Co D, 2-151 Infantry,  Long Range Surveillance Detachment (LRSD ) and was immediately sent to Airborne School. The following year I earned my Ranger Tab. In 2006 I was assigned to a Public Affairs Unit where I became an actor/director/writer in a video series called Camp Atterbury Television. This is where I found my love for being creative and making entertaining videos.

Fast forward to 2009, I deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan where I spent my tour in charge of Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) and the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) earning a Bronze Star for my actions. I retired in 2012 and have been an entrepreneur since 1997.

What if  Bane (from Batman) was now 50 and trying to live a normal life in Gotham?  What if you wanted to workout but you only had “tiny hands?” These are the kind of videos I create, to include one of most cringe worthy “Silkies Hike” promo video. If you want to watch Bane train for and conquer Kilimanjaro, follow Bane @50 on TikTok.

I am also the founder of Tactical Web Design and an avid dog lover.  One of the founding members of Merging Vets and Players (MVP Chicago), a Certified Veteran Fitness Operative (FitOps) and a member of Chicago Veterans.

At 53, I still accept adventures that test my physical, spiritual and mental toughness.  I am looking forward to help spread the word about this great cause.

Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
