    ABOUT JOE

Joe is a global entrepreneur and executive, currently serving as VP of Business Development and Marketing for TagOne, a blockchain enabled food traceability software. Joe has successfully helped lead five different organizations to more than $1 million in revenue in less than two years.

Joe joined the Army, served as a Captain and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his service in Iraq in 2004. He returned from Iraq to a newborn daughter, struggling business and to a home that was destroyed by a severe flood. He took these challenges, made lots of mistakes, learned from them and was led to support other veterans facing challenges in transition and entrepreneurship.

In 2016, Joe founded and eventually become the Executive Director at Bunker Labs PHL, a non-profit accelerator that helps veterans start and grow businesses. He has given presentations about resilience, career transition and entrepreneurship at Penn State University, St. Joe’s University, Temple and more. He’s also been featured in Fast Company, Entrepreneur, Inc. and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Joe has taken on a part-time role as an executive coach at Velocity Advisory Group to help other business leaders discover their “why” and reach their peak performance.

A graduate of Penn State University, Joe previously served on the board of the Liberty USO and the aforementioned Bunker Labs and currently is on the Veteran Advisory Committee for the US Global Leadership Coalition. He loves to play tennis, snowboard and mostly, spend time with his awesome teenage daughters.

Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
