    ABOUT LISA

Lisa Keys is the wife of the late U.S. Army Master Sergeant Bradley Keys, who was killed in a military training accident in 2012. Since losing her husband, Lisa has been working through her grief by working with organizations that support military families who have suffered a loss. Most recently, Lisa has been working with Angels of America’s Fallen, an organization that directly funds extracurricular activities for children of fallen service members and first responders. Lisa spends most of her free time with her son Ethan. Ethan has cerebral palsy and has limited physical and mental capacities but Lisa strives to make life one big adventure for Ethan despite the challenges the world may present for him. Lisa was introduced to Waterboys and the Conquering Kili mission by her husband’s friend and former Special Forces teammate, NFL Waterboy Nate Boyer. Lisa is honored for the opportunity to be a part of the Conquering Kili mission, raising money and awareness for clean water in East Africa.

Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
