ABOUT TONY
Anthony Goins served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 to 1986. After his service, Goins held leadership positions American Express, QVC, KeyBank, Ford Motor Company, USAA, and J.P. Morgan Chase, before assuming the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Cabela’s World’s Foremost Bank and Vice President of the Cabela’s Retail Corporation. Today, Goins is Vice President of Operations and Site Leader for Capital One which is now the card that supports the Bass Pro Shop/Cabela’s program. Goins service to the community is also reflected in his contributions as a Board of Director Member and Finance Committee Member for Inceptia (a Division of the National Student Loan Program), the Lincoln Community Foundation, the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra Board, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and a Board of Trustee member of Bryan Health. Tony is happily married to his wife Kimberly and they have daughters Briana, Jayla, Toni Brockman, son-in-law Anthony Brockman (both in financial services), 3 grandkids, Jaylin, Jada and Jiya, son Anthony II (assistant basketball coach at Quinnipiac University).
Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
