    2023 Conquering Kili Class

    Role

    Retired NFL Player

    Location

    Miami, FL

Born in Hollywood, FL, Jabaal Sheard achieved numerous accolades and honors during his formative years. In 2010 at Hollywood Hills High School High School, he garnered national recognition for his ferocity, speed, and ability. This later led to a full scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh.

After graduating and receiving his bachelors, Jabaal declared for the NFL Draft. He was drafted in the second round (37th overall pick) and spent his first four seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team in 2011. In 2015, Sheard signed with the New England Patriots. He made an immediate impact on the Patriots’ defense. New England went on to Superbowl LI.

Outside of football, he continues to push himself just as hard as a philanthropist and businessman. In 2017, Jabaal started the Jabaal Sheard Foundation serving single parent households and at-risk youth within the communities of his playing city and Hollywood, Florida. In most recent years Jabaal has been nominated as a Walter Payton Finalist. Jabaal continues to make strides day in and day out, if you don’t see him on the field he most certainly is in the community.

Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
