Erin enlisted in the U.S. Army from her home state of Wisconsin and split her time on active duty between Fort Bragg, NC and the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
As Erin transitioned from the military in 2010, she realized just how important personal wellness and physical fitness was for herself and the military community. She jumped into the wellness industry, working primarily with military spouses, veterans and their communities on their physical health. Now, Erin splits her professional time between her holistic wellness practice Qualified Wellness, and serves as the Director of Battle Buddies for the non-profit WarriorWOD. The organization utilizes exercise, nutrition and mentorship to help veterans combat symptoms of post traumatic stress and other hidden wounds. Each role allows her to help people feel their best from the inside out.
After summiting with the 2022 Conquering Kili class, Erin knew that she wanted to continue to support the initiative for fresh water in East Africa and is thrilled to get the opportunity to take on the team captain position in 2025. She hopes to continue to inspire others and show her children, Odin and Aurora, how much of a positive impact they, too, can make on the world around them.
Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
