    Kili Class

    2024 Conquering Kili Class

    Role

    U.S. Army Veteran

    Location

    Charlottesville, VA

David is an entrepreneur, real estate developer, and lawyer. In the wake of 9/11, he was compelled to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated in 2008. Upon graduation, David served in the Army for over 14 years. He deployed as an infantry officer to Afghanistan, and later as a judge advocate advising conventional and special operations forces in Iraq and Syria. During that time, David earned several honors to include the Bronze Star Medal, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge.

While in the military, David discovered his passion for real estate acquisition and development. After building a real estate portfolio and seeing the opportunity to help others do the same, David teamed up with two West Point classmates to found Trophy Point Investment Group, a private real estate lending fund with a focus on backing clients who have served in the military.

During his time in Afghanistan, David saw first-hand the importance access to clean water can have on communities and families. Having recently settled in Charlottesville, David hopes to be a long-term supporter of the Chris Long Foundation and Waterboys team in bringing awareness on how we can support clean water equity in places of need through Conquering Kili.

Above all else, David’s primary passion is raising his three energetic boys with his wife of over ten years, Alexandra. David enjoys traveling to new places, being a very mediocre golfer, and exploring all the parks and trails central Virginia has to offer.

Each new Conquering Kili class accepts the challenge to embark for the summit, a walk that represents the miles that many African women journey on a daily basis to fetch water for their families. While training for the climb, each team member works to raise funds and transform communities through the gift of clean water.
