Youth Movement Partnership

Waterboys Team

August 20, 2020

We’re proud to announce that we’ve partnered with Speed The Light and WorldServe International to launch a youth movement aimed at empowering the youth of America to raise funds for clean water access in East Africa.

Led by NFL Waterboy Johnny Hekker, we’ve set a goal to bring clean water to 50,000 people in Tanzania,  and Speed the Light youth from across the country will be raising funds and awareness for this new partnership to bring sustainable, solar operated deep borehole wells to communities in desperate need.

Speed the Light students have committed to raising $250,000 for the program and we have committed to match $250,000, with WorldServe International serving as the implementing partner, executing and overseeing the construction of the well projects.

Our new partnership will create a dynamic way for students from across the country to join forces with professional athletes to work toward eradicating water scarcity, and highlight the creative and unique work that young people are doing in impacting the world by fundraising for clean water projects for communities in need.
