Kenyan Communities Oloile and Kahuho Have Clean Water
Clean Water, Stronger Communities: Transformational Projects with Luxco in Oloile and Kahuho

Two communities in Kenya — Oloile and Kahuho — have begun new chapters thanks to our continued partnership with Luxco (and associated brands Remus Bourbon, Ross & Squibb Distillery, and Rossville Union). These completed water projects, located in Kajiado County and Laikipia County, are bringing lasting change to thousands of people who once faced daily struggles to access safe water.
In Oloile, home to over 1,600 residents of the Maasai community, families previously walked long distances to collect contaminated water from seasonal rivers. Now, with a deep borehole well yielding over 100,000 liters of clean water per day, the community can rely on a sustainable water source for drinking, livestock, and farming. This project — one of the highest-yielding wells drilled by our partners in Kenya — has already strengthened local health, school attendance, and unity across households.
In Kahuho, a tight-knit community of more than 2,000 people, the new solar-powered water system is transforming daily life. Clean water now flows to the local primary school, kitchen, and handwashing stations, ensuring students stay healthy and focused on learning. Women and girls in particular, once burdened with the long walk to unsafe water sources, now have more time for education and income-generating opportunities.
Both projects demonstrate how access to clean, reliable water fuels opportunity, education, and resilience. The impact extends far beyond hydration — it’s the foundation for thriving communities.
