Justin Anderson is an American professional basketball player for the Long Island Nets. Anderson has had a long and successful basketball career, starting in high school. As a senior, he was a Top 100 Recruit by ESPN and Rivals.com and was named the Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Anderson went on to play college basketball at Virginia where in his junior season was named second-team All-ACC and third-team All-American by the NABC. In April of 2015, Anderson declared for the NBA draft, forgoing his senior year and a few months later was selected 21st overall by the Dallas Mavericks. Anderson played for the Mavericks from 2015 to 2017, before getting traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. In July of 2018, he was traded to the Hawks. In July 2019, Anderson traveled to Tanzania with fellow Hoops2o teammates Malcolm Brogdon and Joe Harris to witness the opening of the first Hoops2o well, helping bring the gift of clean water to communities in need.
