About the Group
During his 10-year tenure in Army Intelligence, Jon Arnold served two tours to Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division and was injured in combat in 2006 receiving the Purple Heart. Since leaving the military he has gone on to earn a Master’s Degree in Global Policy from the University of Texas at Austin, where he participated in the Climate Change and African Political Stability (CCAPS) research project examining the impact that issues such as limited access to drinking water could be exacerbated by climate change causing mass migration leading to potential destabilization on the African Continent. Arnold went on to earn a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Southern California, focusing on Community, Organizations, Business, and Administration.
Arnold has been serving as the Congressional Military and Veteran Affairs Liaison for Texas’ 23rd District assisting military members and veteran constituents since August, 2015. He also supports veterans’ organizations like The Mission Continues, BAMC Amputee Peer Visitor Program, and Wounded Warrior Project.
Arnold and his wife Anquionett currently reside in San Antonio, TX.
