Amanda is Running the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon!

In 2021, I joined the Board of this Foundation. I had always been an admirer of the mission, but since joining the Board, I have gained a close-up view of this important work. I have learned more about the tireless work of the Foundation – to correct global inequities and to help with the deep need for clean water in East Africa.

On a personal note, also since 2021, I have welcomed two children into the world. The thought that any mother could carry life and raise a child without access to clean water lights a fire in me. This cause now has new meaning – or as the kids say, “it hits different.”

From now until November 5, 2023, I am committed to raising $5,000 for this very worthy cause. Even the smallest donations can have an incredible impact.

The Waterboys YPC strives to raise awareness and money to provide clean water to communities in need through East Africa. Recently formed in 2019, the YPC brings together people from different backgrounds and industries to support the Waterboys Organization and the fight against the global water crisis. According to UNICEF, 56 million people lack access to reliable sources of potable water.
