About the Group
Phillip Quintana joined the United States Marine Corps June 2004, 2 days after his high school graduation. Upon graduating boot camp, he went through School of Infinity training at Camp Pendleton to become a heavy machine gunner. Shortly thereafter, he was ordered to Afghanistan. On September 29th 2005, Quintanas vehicle struck an IED and thus began his ten-year journey of trying to salvage his left leg. Three years ago, he became a below the knee amputee who was determined to help others and share his story. Then, this past July, he became an above the knee amputee. Quintana now lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife and two kids and enjoys doing Spartan races in his free time.
